Use Description
Stainless steel SAE straight thread plugs were used the hydraulic system.
Solution
Installed -03 socket head Zero-Leak Gold Plugs with black oxide finish.
Results
No more plugs backing out. The low profile and the black oxide finish of the Zero-Leak Gold Plug complimented the general use area appearance in the end use application. The elimination of the leak location reduced potential warranty claims and boosted dealer and customer confidence.
Post-Script
The ZLGP provided a competitive advantage since the other motorcycle manufacturer's products still leaked at this application point.
