Problem:
Threads collapse and the NPT plug backs out.
Use Description
NPT lubrication port plug is used regularly as part of the engine assembly. The working environment consists of 250 degree F and 1300 psi. The threads collapse and the plug backs out.
Solution
Switched to Zero-Leak Gold Plugs. Port already exists and only had to to modified with standard port tooling to accommodate the SAE compatible ZLGP.
Results
No leaks and dramatically improved reliability.
