EPCO completes move to new plant

EPCO moved into its new production facility in Fort Wayne, IN. September 20, 1999. The construction was completed in about eight months. The new building features a production layout that supports EPCO's Kan Ban manufacturing style that has been in use for over 15 years. The entire plant is air conditioned for employee comfort, plant cleanliness and humidity control for equipment and inventory. A unique feature that has been incorporated into the design of the bulding is the employee restroom that is constructed with steel reenforced concrete to serve as a severe storm shelter if need be. This is a welcome addition since tornados are not uncommon vistors to the area each year. The building is located on 3 1/2 acres 1/2 mile from Fort Wayne International Airport. The new facility will support the growth of the Zero-Leak Gold plugs and fittings and related products as well as be the national distribution center, helping EPCO maintain its same day shipping policy on standard products.

A rendering of the facility may found at the "Our New Home" section of EPCO's home page menu.
